Don’t know how to ready your file for press?

To print a file correctly we need bleed added to files. Bleed is a 3mm area around the outside where any images that go over the edge overlap into. This is to allow for the small variance when trimming your print so you do not have white edges. If you are using Adobe, bleed is added in document settings. With software like Microsoft we suggest you increase the width and height of the document by 6mm and make sure any images that meet the edge cover this extra space. Alternatively, increase your page margins in and keep text away from the edges of the document so that we can enlarge your document on press by 1%; which will allow for a bleed area when trimming.

Don’t know how to create a PDF?

There are many FREE PDF creator services and software that you can install into your design software. PDF Online allow you to upload a file online and receive a PDF in return, whilst doPDF is a free downloadable software that allows you to output a PDF via your print settings. (We cannot take responsibility for your chosen service and the results, please do your own research)

*Adobe Photoshop

This is not a suitable software for creating print ready artwork as it is a photo editing and image creation software which is pixel based. If you are using it to create marketing materials, particularly if including text content, please ensure that your canvas is created to the intended print size and is 300dpi +. Also note PNG files are not intended for print. Your resulting print job may be blocky and pixelated and we cannot take any responsibility for this as our presses do print in incredibly high resolution so it will definitely be you!
